Solar LED Infrastructure Retrofit Custom Engineering Energy Saving
Product: SSL-A3-80W All-in-One Solar LED Street Light
Key objectives
· Eliminate halogen energy consumption
· Reduce carbon footprint with solar power
· Preserve existing pole infrastructure
· Lower long-term maintenance costs
Technical challenge
The existing lamp arms had a diameter of only 48 mm — narrower than the standard mounting specification for the SSL-A3-80W unit. A direct installation was not possible, posing a risk of project delay and additional infrastructure cost.
Our solution
1. Identified the dimensional mismatch between the standard fixture mount and the client's existing 48 mm lamp arms during the pre-installation survey.
2. Engineered and manufactured a custom adapter bracket specifically designed to bridge the gap between the 48 mm arm and the SSL-A3-80W mounting interface.
3. Delivered a complete plug-and-play installation: the new all-in-one solar LED luminaire mounted seamlessly onto existing poles without any structural modifications.
Why it matters
By combining off-the-shelf solar LED technology with a purpose-built adapter bracket, we delivered a cost-effective, environmentally responsible upgrade that respected the client's existing infrastructure investment — a replicable model for municipal lighting retrofits across Sub-Saharan Africa
